MotoGP 2020

Jack Miller signs for the Ducati factory team from 2021 but interestingly, it doesn't say who he will replace. The smart money is on Petrucci leaving (probably in a straight swap back to the Pramac team from where he came).

There were reports that the Aprilla seat is not guaranteed for him - talks that maybe an SBK ride would be an option.

It would be a real shame if MotoGP lost Petrucci. He's decently quick and has shown his speed and consistency in changeable conditions too. I can't believe no team would want him should a ride be available somewhere.

Am also a bit ambivalent at the moment about Jack Miller. He too is also quick but I get the feeling that he seems to come off the bike a bit more than others. Hopefully he gels with the factory 'Bullet' and can take the team forward.

Same - i have similar feelings about Cal - very quick but falls too often.

I think Ducati weren't blown away by his dip in form after the win and if it weren't for the drama he brought perhaps Ianonne might have been a better match as he also knows the bike, But will he even be riding this or next season

Silverstone, Phillip Island and now Motegi have all confirmed they have cancelled their events. :(

So Silverstone cancelled MotoGP but is going ahead with F1?

Yup, made me scratch my head too. Of course, F1 isn't guaranteed yet but even so, it's weird how Dorna hasn't thought along those 'if they're doing it, why not us too' lines...

Now there are reports that Pol will be going to Repsol for 2021 with Alex heading to LCR. Seems MotoGP didn't want to get left behind in the silly season games by F1 :-)

Mugello cancelled :(
Nooooooo

There goes Ducati only chance of a win

YES!

KTM confirm 2021 MotoGP™ line-ups

Next season’s line-ups for the Austrian manufacturer have been announced as Ducati's Danilo Petrucci joins the ranks.

KTM have announced they will rely on the skills of Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira to represent Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2021. The South African and Portuguese, former Moto3™ and Moto2™ teammates, will reunite in the premier class. Meanwhile KTM will extend their purposeful attack on MotoGP by welcoming and harnessing the experience and GP-winning speed of Danilo Petrucci who will partner Iker Lecuona at Red Bull KTM Tech3 for the 2021 campaign. All four racers will steer works KTM RC16s.

I think it's a real feather in Brad's cap. He hasn't even turned a wheel in anger yet in the premier class and he's been secured to race beyond 2020. Am really glad about that as I think with KTM focusing their vast financial clout on the MotoGP, they can make real inroads into Yamaha, Honda & Ducati's domain. Roll on 2021 I say...

He is... The things he was able to do with that machine in terms of continuous development... But onwards and upwards hey, who would refuse a factory Honda ride

Oh of course. I'm happy for him that he has a top ride now, he deserves it.

How does F1 potentially secure a race at Mugello but MotoGP doesn't. I can't imagine it's down to the amount of required personnel. Surely F1 is more staff intensive than MotoGP is...? Or is it purely down to Ferrari throwing their considerable bulk around, given that they own the Mugello circuit...

*confusion intensifies*

So Danilo Petrucci confirmed with the satellite Red Bull team for 2021 alongside Iker Lecuona.

Petrucci joins Red Bull KTM Tech3 for 2021
The Italian will leave Ducati at the end of the season as KTM confirm the MotoGP™ race winner will line-up alongside Iker Lecuona

Ahead of his sixth season with Ducati, Danilo Petrucci has put pen to paper with KTM for 2021 as the Italian prepares to step into the Red Bull KTM Tech3 ranks next season. The 2019 Mugello race winner visited Austria to chat with KTM hierarchy recently as Petrucci went in search of a new seat in the premier class, and it seems the talks couldn’t have gone better for both parties. Tech3 Team Manager Herve Poncharal has called Petrucci a “team player and a MotoGP winner” – something the Frenchman obviously holds in high regard as he gets ready to take Petrucci under his wing.

With Red Bull now confirming their lineups, the smart money is then on Dovi resigning for Ducati alongside Jack Miller.

Or he retires.. Lots of noise baout how he's tired and not keen to race much. Gigi also seemed to indicate that they have made an offer and it's all down to the numbers and all in Dovis Court...

Ah really?! I haven't seen anything of the sort. Would be a shame were it true. I'm a genuine Dovi fan. Hope he sticks around. He's been the only one to push MM93 all the way these last three years.

Will try find those articles for you.. Hey you also a Dovi fan, been a huge fan of his since before his Tech3 days. I think he is a good rider, just maybe not ruthless enough to unseat MM93
