Shows how much better than most the Ducati is - Bez got a couple of Wins, Diggia featured towards the end, Marini was thereabouts all on older machinery

Its the perfect machine. No real weaknesses to speak of.

Best launch device, fastest in a straight line (although KTM can match it for top end), best traction out of corners.

Yeah, early in the season KTM had the edge but Ducati made strides and toward the end as you say, if it wasn't better, it was on par. Martin used it to good effect in that run of Sprint wins. Nobody could get him off the line.
 
MM93 looks like he enjoyed his first 7 laps on the Ducati
 
As expected, boss music is building in the background. MM93 went red within 6 laps. Crafar caveated this by pointing out that he would have started with a baseline setting from Ducati, so more to come as he dials the bike in to how he wants it.

RIP Everybody.

Marc was already doing things on the Duke the other Ducati riders couldn't. Interview excerpt from Bastianini -

Q: What do you think of Marquez's debut with Ducati?

Bastianini: "It's good to see Marc on track. He rides as I expected, he took to the bike straight away, he didn't need to adapt too much. I think he's going to be a thorn in my side in 2024, but that's not all the surprises, there will be others. I haven't met him on track, but for example I've seen the data and I've seen that he doesn't take turn 8 like anyone else does, so... you can already see that in certain points he's faster than us, than all the Ducatistas.

Q: But why, how does he take this turn 8?

Bastianini: "He does it really hard, it's like he doesn't brake. It's incredible how he takes it, he turns the bike in a very small space."

Roll on 2024!!

TBF not everyone was pushing too hard - i know Lenovo Ducati admitted they weren't chasing times - it was more to understand the 24 bike

Oh of course, way too early to read too much into it, but it was very much a warning for what is to come. Not so much the times, but the fact that he was able to adapt to and push a new bike (for him) so quickly as Bestia mentioned.

Definitely - esp when you see Morbidelli struggling etc. Exciting times ahead
