Hopefully it provides the platform for Jorge and Marco to take it to Ducati this year.

Got to feel it is last chance saloon for Alex Rins this year and it is certainly last chance saloon for Yamaha in terms of Quartararo's future.

I am so sick of this horrible livery. Why can't we do yellow speedblocks or the R7 design? I'm convinced it would inspire the team too.

Fairly sure Monster Energy insist on it but it doesn’t matter. GP bikes are hideous. GP bike styling peaked with Harada’s mid 90s RSW500.

Like most of the manufacturers, KTM's livery is pretty much 'as you were' from last year

Whether it is any faster remains to be seen.

Crazy stories coming out yesterday.

Quartararo to Honda.

Martin to Yamaha.

And apparently Ducati have approached Acosta.

Really?! Didn't see that coming if it pans out. Thought he'd mended fences with Aprilia.

Yep. It appears that Jorge Martin has caught a bit of the Maverick Vinalesitis - not really fitting in and bouncing around teams.

Exclusive: Martin finalising two-year Yamaha MotoGP deal

Yamaha and Jorge Martin are finalising the details that will see the Spaniard become a factory rider for the Japanese manufacturer for the next two seasons, Motorsport.com has learned.

This move follows the one reported by this publication earlier on Thursday, which will see Fabio Quartararo leave the Iwata-based squad to join Honda’s factory team.

As a result, Martin will bring his time with Aprilia to an end next year, having signed for the Italian manufacturer from 2025 after Ducati opted to promote Marc Marquez in the same year that he went on to claim the world title in 2024.

While Quartararo’s move to Honda made perfect sense given the strained relationship between the Frenchman and Yamaha’s management, Martin’s arrival is likely to come as a surprise to many. Especially considering that last year he already tried to secure a deal with HRC for 2026, a move that ultimately failed due to Aprilia’s refusal to release him.

Bloody Saffas and their hugely successful energy poison.

On the Yourgay Martin news, I hope I'm wrong but I think we're witnessing a champ going to also ran.

It is a gamble, no doubt. But with the huge regulation changes for next year, the slate is wiped clean and everyone starts on an even playing field. Staying put at a team is just as much of a gamble as leaving to go to another.
