Hi

I see these motorcades 3 times a week. Im thinking what it must cost all that.
Who travels like that, is it president and ministers?

If they had to drive around in a 3 series nobody would even know the difference.

You will need to expand on how big the motorcade was....

Almost every government "hobknob" thinks its necessary to travel like that now.

The bigger the criminal, the more protection and flashing lights they need

also depends if your phone loses reception and there is at least one black merc van with funny aerials on the roof,

like I said I once spotted a maybach in the convoy, was wondering who owns it, as they are so rare in SA.

When I was deposited at my gran's flat in Salisbury (when my folks were off all over the place due to my dad's career) we used to watch Bob Mugabe and the Wailers from her balcony. Was like a daily occurrence.

I can understand the need for the motorcades.
It's because no one cares about these idiots because they are greedy arrogant liars. So they apply the motorcade like lipstick to make themselves feel like somebody special and important while no one else gives a toss

I don't think Bob has any colonial cars left to parade in, but I do know that the main road into Harare has a crater so big you have to divert hectically into the bush to avoid damaging your car.

Interesting, as it was rumoured that Ramaphosa owns a Maybach, an allegation which embarrassed him to the extent that he attempted to sue Merc SA for not denying it.

My experiences were in the 80's...

Saw a Maybach yesterday actually, rolling with NUR 1 and it pulled into the Mpisane house in Umhlanga.
