We're about twelve hours away from the Motorola event where they will be announcing the new DROID RAZR. Of course, they never mentioned the name of the device but the previous leaks and the teaser video provided enough clues. But if you think they were not enough, here comes the actual image of the phone.

This image was discovered by Droid Life on Motorola's teaser site and gives a good look at the new DROID RAZR. It must be said that it is indeed an attractive looking design, particularly the back with that sweet looking Kevlar adorning it. You can also see the 4G LTE logo on the back, along with certain other details such as the FCC ID, which suggests that the battery is sealed. The back swiftly rises to a bulge near the top, where you can find the camera lens that claims to do 1080p video along with an LED flash and a loudspeaker.

On the side we can see the volume control keys and the power/lock key. The top has the headphone jack, USB port and what could be a micro HDMI port.

The front also looks quite attractive, with a flush (Gorilla?) glass. We can see the front facing camera above the display and the four control keys and the microphone below. The display doesn't seem particularly big or maybe the phone is just too wide.

As for the rest of the details, we'll find those out soon enough.

Mmmmm....looks like a interesting device. What I like about motorola is that their newish devices is that it aint pretty...but it has got a certain sexyness factor to it. Looks sexy, solid.

What you guys think of it?

reminds me of my old MOTO RAZR

Man I really really loved that phone. If this phone sports the same slim metal body, they will have an instant fan.

I was lucky to get an import and not the crap they had in SA where the SP's messed with the OS and I must say back in the day I was impressed with it as it did many things my iPhone 3 that replace it could not even do like Copy & paste, custom ringtones from mp3, SD card support...

I think Motorola has shown us before that if they want to make the super model of the phones (not a pretty phone, but you still can't help finding it sexy), they will.

I have high hopes for the new Motorola that's come from the Android invasion :D.

That Verizon logo on there is worrying for people that might want the phone in SA...then again as an LTE device it's out for now anyways.

I wish Motorola South Africa would pull their fingers out their A-Holes and go on a massive advertising drive! They have to realize that to get the South African public back they need to adervertise and MARKET themselves!

Oh ok that is pretty cool. And hooray for 8MP...not that it matters since by the time it's time for me to replace my Neo this phone will be long gone.

Is it me, or does this seem like the first, true competitor to the Apple Iphone in the sense that it looks amazing, thin, well spec'd, good looking, will feature a nice ergonomic touch? Samsung use too much damn plastic and their phones aren't that good looking...

It's like with cars, you want performance, but you also want people to look at your phone and go "Sweet Jesus, what have you graced my eyes with?".

Other than the Galaxy S2. I agree with Samsung using too much plastic, but I think the GS2 is one of the better looking phones out there.

I will agree with you. :-)

I think the Samsung Androids are very good phones...and doing very well in our stores...but when it comes to good looks....it cant hold a candle to this baby!

It's you.

Well, do know know of any phone (apart from HTC... they make pretty phones I must say, but not sexy/super model like phones)

Hmmm, I dunno, I still don't think the Sammies are attractive phones. Apart from the big screen, the GS 2 looks too simple ... This new moto actually grabs your attention and makes you wanna play with it... Beeeg plus there for them!

I will agree with you. :-)

hey, if the gay man says it's sexy, it's sexy ;)
