Motorola V3X 3g Setup

Hi All

I would like to know if anyone knows how to set up motov3x to connect on 3g, I have tried all of the dialup numbers, still keeps on connecting on gprs, vodacom has enabled data on sim card as well. Moto usb modem is installed and I have 3g coverage.

Maybe theres something in your area/room/building thats blocking you from getting any 3G.

V3X setup

Check that your phone network is set up for Automatic or WCDMA 2100 (mine was set by default to "900/1800" which won't get you onto 3G).

Go to menu, Settings>Network>Network setup>Band then check "Automatic", or WCDMA 2100 to force 3G.

Be aware that leaving the phone in automatic will use up battery quicker (I always switched back to 900/1800 when I was finished with 3G). Also, leaving the phone in WCDMA seemed to make it unable to accept incoming calls.
