"We want to win. We will not go there to play for the draw," Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia.

"I want to try and win even if we can go on the pitch for two results. I would prefer to be the Italian champions with a 13-point advantage rather than one.

"We are first because we are stronger than the rest and we deserve to win the title."

Juventus ace Alessandro Del Piero tried to stir up the rivalry when he said his side have nothing to envy about the Nerazzurri. Mourinho has failed to see fit with that notion as he responds to the Italian.

"Del Piero should envy Inter for the 10-point gap we have over his side. He is right to speak about his past. He has done everything at Juve, just a shame he hasn't won the Ballon d'Or."

Now as much as the media likes Mourinho's antics i think this is out of line questioning the greatness of a player because he never won the european player of the year award  the man has no class

so i guess Raul who has also never won the Ballon D'or is also crap
what about Stevie G , Cantona ,Henry ,Eto

lol he just insulted every player who never won the ballon d'Or and are rated very highly :P

What did Jose win as a player? Oh that's right he was a translator not a footballer...

Is it only me that understood that differently. From what I read, he was complimenting him. No?

All part of mind games. Also Mou is right dell piero should envy us.;)

How much has dell piero won without moggi.

Oh please people. He was fighting fire with fire. It's all mind games and it would reflect poorly on Del Piero if he takes the bait. Hell, I don;t really see a problem. Lampard plays his heart out every game, whether for Chelsea or for England and he has gotten nothing but stick from everyone. Not a day passes that someone doesn't call him Fat Frank etc etc... yet he still gives his all, shuts up and goes out and proves everyone wrong.

How about that for all you incensed bats.

Note: Mourinho is never going to change and I dig him for that. He does what he needs to win. Just like Fergie. You all just don;t remember his comments or feign ignorance. Go read up on his most famous quotes. Insultuing Wenger with class? Never! It was funny as anything, but it had no class. Neither did Shanks. He said really crass things. Please - if you guys want gentlemanly behaviour - bugger off and go watch cricket.

EDIT: Just to clarify my position. I am not smitten with Jose worship - I just think that everyone who get pissed off with what he says should actually look to their own histories before throwing stones in their glass houses. I have the utmost respect for Fergie, even though I hate the fact that no one can win anything because of him. If Fergie was attacked due to the same reasons, I would back him just as much as I would back Mourinho. take off your goggles and look at everyone not as a supporter of a rival club, but as a neutral. As someone who respects what needs to be done to get to the top. All those nice managers, classy managers, likable managers... are nothing compared to the nitty-gritty, down-to-earth workaholic megalomanical fiends that actually win trophies. Regularly. They are the ones who realise footy is about results and not a frikkin' beauty contest - they dont want to be Miss Congeniality, they want to be the winners. That's it. Remember this clarification when responding to my post.

lol so maradona and Pele were crap then....

For someone who usually does their homework, you are waaaaaaaaaay off the mark on this one. A quote from Wikipedia might clear it up for you:

Wikipedia the Wonderful said:
Originally, journalists could only vote for European players at European clubs, meaning that players like Diego Maradona and Pelé were ineligible for the award.[2] In 1995, there was a change in the rules to allow non-European players to be eligible for the award if they played for a European club.

I just wonder if your good mate in Barca colours, Genius, who likes to point out who gets "owned" by you (and in extravangt posts at that) will do the same now that your head is on the chopping block.

Just to put something straight. Dell piero started with the mind games. So Mou just responded today. All difference is Mou is way better at it than Alex. I ranieri hasn't tried mind games this time round, probably still smarting from all the kicking him received early in the season.

a Win tomorrow and we wrap up the title, probably all ready wrapped up but it would be nice to put a ribbon on the box.:D

@stefan
I understand mate. It's all part of getting under your opponents skin, and unfortunately(or fortunately if your an Inter fan) Jose is one of the best at these mind games.

Quick question - would you want Mourinho if you could get him? So, you had a choice... Rafa or Jose? Which would you pick.

(And please be honest :))

Neither of them. I hate MOANOrinho and Rafa is not capable of playing fast attacking football.

Well most part of the season. Total kill football tactics is more Rafa's style.

Personality wise Rafa is a nice guy while Jose is a jack ass. You tell me which one of the two would be more welcomed at Anfield:)
Look I wouldn't mind having Jose as manager but if I'm totally honest he lacks the values that Liverpool FC requires in a manager.
