Can anyone recommend any place quality plain mousepad (non cloth) and thin i.e plastic. All the shops the things are like R200 including the online shops.

R130 is the limit of my budget. However yours is cloth. I am looking for a hard surface

I can't convince myself to buy something so simple for over R200 http://www.takealot.com/gaming/accessories/steelseries-4hd-mousepad-pc,29569294

My current mouse pad was just R10. TBH its a lot better than my R450 roccat gamer's pad. So what is it? Well its a thin plastic cutting board I got at some plastic shop. I'm using it upside down, so the smooth part is under and the grainy ontop.

ps. mouse is roccat kone +

Go to a hardware store and get an off cut of masonite or have a look in a home decor shop for a dinner plate mat.

Don't need a mousepad, all new mice are laser.

If your mouse pad doesn't work, wrap it around with A4 copy paper. more friction, but no cursor jumping at random. :)

Clean sensor area, it can be dirty.
