Bastille Day (2016) - 6.5/10

Your regular action movie and a welcome one at that. Just plain old fun watching it!
 
Skiptrace (2016) - 3/10

I'm not sure if this is AsiaTrip or Jackie Chan's encore, but the man is getting old and looks tired. Nobody is particularly likeable, the story is all over the place and tried to hard at times to be comical. Furthermore it kinda feels like they shot a random bunch of scenes and mashed then together.
 
Criminal (2016) 6.5/10

Fun action movie. Cracking cast...Kevin Costner jamming to house music made me lol.
 
The Neon Demon 0/10

What a load of cow manure. Wasted 2 hours for something to happen.

Wasnt bad but was a bit confusing in the beginning.


Noisy people behind me made me lose focus multiple times, that could explain it.

Drive actually wasn't bad, but this dudes other stuff is all shyte.
Maybe the soundtrack and actors helped but he seems to want to do off the wall arty stuff and it just doesn't work in our commercial driven modern cinema.

Meant to convey that it's a polarising film.

I liked Drive but watched it first at a friend's place who got bored and turnt it off. I was outnumbered three to one. Asked for a copy and watched it later on alone.

I think it was misguidedly advertised as a gangster revenge movie when it was more of an arthouse film. If people knew what to expect when they began to watch it their expectations wouldn't have been let down. Anyway I really liked it.

I need to give it another watch but man did I hate it when I saw it.
