Yeah the new film Weathering With You should be coming to the West soon. all the films by Makoto Shinkai are worth watching

Noice, I'll definitely be on the lookout for that one. Haven't watched any of his other movies but heard great things about Your Name so thought I should give it a watch.

Not heavily into anime although I've also recently watched all Ghibli movies (and the one from Ponoc) except for My Neighbours the Yamadas which looks horrible.
 
Once upon a time in Hollywood - 6/10.

Love Tarantino but thought it was really disappointing. The movie was a bit slow, except for the last 20 minutes.

The genre they're on about is sex horror revenge / sexploitation revenge. Not classic cinema and not classic revenge stories.

Yes that is the genre I suspect Dave was referring to. Not general revenge based on the movies mentioned.
