Big Ass Spider. 7/10. Surprisingly enjoyable tongue in cheek monster parody. Decent fx.

The Hobbit - TDOS gets a lousy 3/10 purely for special effects. Can only begin to imagine what tripe Jackson has in store for the 3rd movie.

Riddick - 2013 - solid 8/10

Interesting story that has different sections, nice changes of scenery and feel during the movie, eventually has flavours of Pitch Black closer to the end but with nice twists.

Out of the Furnace - 8/10 ...... good drama

Banshee Chapter - 6/10 ..... B grade fare but it kept me entertained

Runner Runner - 7/10 ..... decent enough story

The Butler - 2/10 ..... what boring trash

Did you actually sit through all of these movies? Don't you read reviews or anything before clicking 'Play'?

In fact I did, but I do not always care about reviews. I often differ with others opinions.

The Hobbit (2013)

Although I liked the first edition last year, the new Hobbit almost seems that they did not know where to go with the story line. The fact that they deviated so much from the book tells me that they needed to add extra scenes to make up the almost 3 hours of playtime and also offer some extra action scenes to attract more kids. This, according to me caused too much confusion and I also think that the acting was horrible. So, the only reason I give this movie a 2 rating is for its special effects. I think this has been a huge waste of 3 hours.

Runner Runner

Although very predictable story line, the movie was quite good. The acting was good and loved the Costa Rica scenes during the course of the movie. This is a different story line than what we have seen the past year and the change is welcome.

Don Jon

Now, this is probably the biggest load of BS brought out this year. Almost 2 hours of watching some idiot shagging girls, waking up during the night, watching porn on his laptop, jerking off and head back to bed - over and over again. Then he falls in love with an older woman who just lost her husband and son and shags the siht out of her. The acting was horrendous all over. There was no decent story line. At no time did any part of the movie catch any attention.

Yes I'm sure we do. Don Jon has 7/10 IMDB ranking so one would think it's good but it's one of the worst movies I've seen in ages. I ended up skipping through it. What a load of tripe.

I call it a steaming pile of horse schit :D

Jackson lost the plot. The third installment is going to be a disaster.
