I was really looking forward to this movie, and was left very disappointed.

5/10 - Everything was left unanswered, and not in the way that leaves you thoughtful. In a "hmm, that was pointless kinda way"

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) 7.5/10

Very enjoyable if not a little confusing at first. Lots of high octane action and Affleck did very well as Batman. Eisenberg as Luthor was a bit of a funny one that took some getting used to, but all in all, a great fun action movie although I saw it in a 4DX cinema and wish I'd just gone to a normal screening instead. Too distracting getting thrown about the place and rained on when you need to concentrate at the beginning

Agree with the rating. That Lex was more like the joker.

The movie would have been improved with a bit more story and less explosions toward the end. The fire fights were a bit too hectic and over done

Well recreated 50's & 60's London setting & Tom Hardy does a pretty good job in the dual role as the identical twin gangster brothers.


Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015) 6/10

More of the same; as to be expected. Some laughs here & there. Mostly catered for the youngins.


We Are Your Friends (2015) 6/10

Average coming of age movie. Extra points if your ambition is to be an aspiring disc jockey.


The Visit (2015) 6.5/10

This M Night Shyamalan piece of work is unsure if it's a horror or a comedy. Some truly gross scenes. The last movie I saw that left me sort of this "perplexed" was Tusk (2014).

Psychologist Peter Bower's life is thrown into turmoil when he discovers that the patients he has been seeing are ghosts. Risking his own sanity, Peter delves into his past to uncover a terrifying secret which only he can put right. A low budget Australian production, but good enough to keep you interested to uncover the truth at the end. Good, but not awesome...

The Transporter Refueled (2015) 6/10

Not a particular successful reboot if I'm honest. Ed Skrein does an above average job; no match for Jason Statham though.

Plot is one dimensional & contains many plot holes & questionable stunts that defies basic physics (like all Transporter movies actually).

You will watch this movie for the car chase scenes; hot babes & that hardcore Audi S8. For the most part it's like a long promo vid for the S8.
