That's not my point. My point is why would you jave a 10 point scale if you believe you've never in your entire life seen a 10 out of 10 movie? That's just retarded.

I've seen plenty 10/10 movies - none of them very recently though.

The Godfather Trilogy
Papillon
Jean de Florette / Manon des Source

come to mind.

Well, the 10 denotes perfection, if anything.

I don't think I've ever given anything a 10, not sure if I even would. Doubt very much a Star Wars movie would get a 10. Even if it's really, really awesome.

I also have a few 10/10 movies myself. Why have a 10 scale otherwise?

And by the way: Papillon !! What a movie.

Sure, but giving Interstellar a 10 has me worried. But I'll draw that down as personal opinion, some people is just easy to please.

Last time I gave a 10 to a movie, was when I watched Taken at a Cinema.
The Champ is another of my 10's. I can't remember If I have more than these two movies at 10, probably a few very close ones (Like Alien). In my teens, I graded all the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies at 10, I'm rethinking it now.

I'm more concerned about the FiestaST family. His wife is a fan of Tyler Perry and he of Rob Schneider. Movie nights at your place must be torture for regular people.

Interstellar was interesting but about a 6.5/10 on my scale.

Concerned about him giving Interstellar a 10, but you give Taken a 10? :wtf:

Just finished Ep I - Ep III, they hold up a lot better than I remember. Especially ROTS.

Nor apparently lower than 5.5.

I'm with daveza on this. There must be some 10s but they are rare indeed. My last 10 was Vertigo, I believe
Exactly. When ths credits stary rolling and my first thoughts are, "that was fukking awesome", why would I rate it anything but a 10.

My scale is not "what will most people think about this movie, and how will they rate it when they have seen it".

My scale is:
10 - fukking awesome
9 - awesome
8 - very good
7 - good
6 - yeh ok
5 - not good
4 - bad
3 - very bad
2 - terrible
1 - terribly horrible
0 - my eyes! Oh the humanity! wtf did I just watch!

I think it's pretty pretentious not giving anything a 10.
