Step Up 3D - 6.5/10
Good for a Dance movie, but not as good as Step Up 2, yet watching the dancing in 3D is quite an experience

the expendables 8/10 not as lame as you would think ! actually really enjoyed it especially stallone and jason statem or whatever his name is :D very enjoyable and a def must see

edit: i see quite a few people already rated the A-Team so i won't rate it again BUT for all those who didn't see it yet, do yourselves a favor and go watch it ! Loved the action and comedy and it's a very fun movie so it's very enjoyable to watch... murdock is awesome ofcourse and really does steal the show for me.

It's hard to contribute to this thread and rate a good movie when people give schit like the A-team & Scuster 8/10. We live in the MTV tappet generation so me recommending The Bicycle Thief at a 7.5/10 and being foreign with subtitles would be the equivalent of background noise. Party on Wayne ;)

Different strokes for different folks, somebody who identifies with you on this forum might respect your choice of rating a movie and watch it.

ok if you insist 9/10 ... really loved this movie and it really lived up to to it's legacy for a fan like me ...
 
watched about 30min of the other guys ... 4/10 very boring and dull, the comedy is old and just plain dumb at times :( really expected more from this ...
 
My suggestion is double checking the rating on IMDB first once a movie is recommended on here :) I tend to find the numbers game there results in a more accurate rating. Some movies I saw recently and was pleasantly surprised by :

Letters to Juliet - romantic comedy (IMDB 6.3/10). Of course a lot of you on here are too macho to admit to enjoying this :D
Kick Ass - action (IMDB 8.1/10). This one really surprised me as it was extremely entertaining. Thought it was one for the kids but it definitely isn't.
 
Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea - 8.5/10. Not the most coherent Studio Ghibli film ever made (and that's saying a lot) but nobody can deny the quality of their animation and imagination.
A Serious Man - 7/10. A rare moment of portentous self-indulgence from the Coen Brothers. Updated rendition of the Book of Job (like Oh Brother was a version of the Odyssey). Pointless, rambling, and devoid of likeable characters. Although you know - it's still a Coen Brothers movie, which means the cinematography is always impeccable, the actors are bespoke and the dialogue is sharp and unexpected.

Salt: 8.5/10 - Really enjoyed this movie. Kindof like the female version of Bourne. The concept behind Salt is also good as it has spun many conspiracy theories revolving around "sleeper agents" (which they cover in the beginning to give some weight to the story).

Inception: 8.5/10 - Another movie to watch and enjoy. It has some magnificent special effects, good acting and a plausable storyline. The concept in this movie is being able to share another person's dream... I'll say no more :)
 
Piranha: 5/10 - If you are really into the whole "animals-killing-dumb-humans" kinda thingy, I'm sure you'll like it. I can't rate it higher or lower
 
Piranha opens in SA at the of October in 3d nogal.I hear its the trashiest and goriest movie ever made.
