Movie Trailers Thread

OK, so firstly, looks like a cool movie.

BUT NOW: ~rant starting~

Why call it a "teaser trailer", and then the thing is two minutes long?

And then: Why, for the love of all that is holy, have a 5 second trailer/opening at the beginning of the trailer ("teaser trailer") for the actual God Dammed trailer you're about to watch?

It's like trying to watch a programme made for American audiences, where you get 4 ad breaks, and then get a preview of what's about to happen after every ad break, just after a re-run of what happened before the ad break. Makes a 20 minute programme stretch out to 40 minutes.

~end rant~

Apparently Superman 1978, had one of the first teasers

That teased me pretty good, I wanted to see more.

And now I want to watch it for the 15th time.

Find this stupid as well. The art of leading into something and not giving the whole thing away has been completely lost on whoever cuts trailers nowadays. Although HBO and some streaming services still do it right sometimes.

Looks a bit meh tbh.
I know it's iconic and all, but using a shoulder cannon against a bunch of primitives isn't exactly sporting.
Also, poor bear did nothing wrong.
Bear was an adversary and something the Predator could go toe-to-toe with. Unless it was preparing the Indian woman for her own trial by combat by taking out the bear. Sort of leaving the way open for it (the Predator) to take her on fairly.

The problem is the bear was occupied with it's own prey, so the Predator taking it from behind is unbecoming of their code of honour. The native American woman is a lesser prey w.r.t. the bear, so there is no reason for the Predator to care about her at that point. However ignoring these facts it's basically just to set up the premise for the movie.

There is a lot they could have done to give to make this an interesting plot, but I doubt that's what we'll get.

Yes and no...maybe the Predator sees her as a more worthwhile adversary!

Failing to hunt the bear and almost being eaten by it hardly makes her worthwhile :P
Although as I said, without this contrivance there would be no movie

I'll skip ahead and give this movie a 4-5/10 in line with all the recent remakes.

Ladies, gentlemen.

The trailer you've been waiting for.

I humbly present to you, Python Island.
