Moving a Telkom Line

Hi

I've asked Telkom to move my line from one apartment to another in the same building.
What exactly is involved in moving the line? The new apartment is wired for a line, it even has a plug on the wall for it. They tell me it's going to take 13 days for them to move it. I'm located in the Cape Town CBD. It took less time for them to install a new line the first time.

It's just frustrating because I use the ADSL line for work when I'm not in the office.

The flat you're moving into probably hasn't had ADSL before. I moved my line from one suburb to another about a week ago, I phoned them on the Friday by the next Wednesday I had ADSL.

Worst part is, nobody can tell me what number the line in the new apartment has.
