I had to move house at the end of last month. As a result it'll take Telkom two months to move my line, even though it's the same exchange area. On my last day in my old place I phoned Telkom and got my account suspended until the new line gets installed.

Does anyone know if Telkom will refund my monthly account for the period they are unable to supply me with any service?

I've just moved as well. Telkom "suspended" my account for three weeks until the ADSL could be installed in the new house, and when they re-connected I was billed for the one week left of the month and the next month in advance...

So you shouldn't be charged for the time that you weren't connected. Unless you signed a 24 month contract with Telkom. In that case, I don't have a clue.
