Moving files older than a certain date to external HDD

Good morning all you fun guys

Now with Wcry under control (we all hope) I now want to rid our server of deadwood (old files).

How do I mark and move files older than a certain date (eg files created before 2014)? Is there a program or utility with which I can do a mass select and move?

Linux or windows ?

linux you can use something like: find /path/to/files* -mtime +5 mv {} /offsite/location \; [+5 = 5 days ago]
