Moving from Crystalweb to Openweb

wow i see axxess now also offers 100gb cap with unlimited data between 00:00-06:00 for R189, is a price war coming?
Anyone uses axxess capped account here?
I hope CW will also follow suit and lower the price, then I dont need to move! :P

You get what you pay for...

Don't join Openweb - won't say anything more

That being said, if Axxess works well, than great. I think though, while pricing is still a huge general issue, forcing the ISPs to battle one another on price led to a lot of sub-standard data offerings in the past.

I'm happy to pay a bit more, if the service I get is better, which in my situation, is the case.

I think all ADSL prices are 100-200% too expensive considering the costs of fibre.

Fibre R1099 for 100mb/s up and down speed with a 1TB cap. As a nice added extra they throw in a 1gig per month MTN card in case you internet is dead for a day.
ADSL R1149 for a 10mb/s down 1mb/s up (R395) + 300gig cap (R565) + Voice line rental you don't need (R189)

The cost of IPC on DSL has been, and remains the highest cost to any ISP, not the data breakout portion where it is not required for independent (non-Telkom) FTTH open access builds. Hence the cost imbalance. ISPs operate on tiny margins in the DSL space...

Aye? If you think I'm soft, then you need to rethink that thought pal. All about respect dude. There are kids and women on these forums.

You should know the rules.
Pics or it didn't happen.

came in to see OP helped to stay on the road to CW heaven - laughing that he even considers such a ridiculous idea to move to openweb.

Glad that he left convinced of his sins :D

So you have decided to move from ADSL to a tin telephone connection? I have two empty baked bean cans for you, just find yourself some Openweb fishing line to connect them.
