Why the hell are you moving to SA? Just about everyone is desperate to get OUT - and I don't mean that in terms of how bad the internet is here, in fact the internet here isn't too bad if you go the right routes - I mean because there are AK47-armed wild animals here who see no value in your life.

Apply for the Telkom Closer 2 package and get the installation done for free.
Then cancel Closer 2 and apply for the ADSL self-install option.
Unless you are going to make plenty of landline calls, do not make telkominternet your ISP. Rather go for one of Afrihost, WebAfrica, SAOL, etc.

I think that something around 20/30 GB could be fine...
