I moved my 2mb adsl line over to Telkom as of the 2nd of april 2014, while changing my ISP to Openweb at the same time(Prior to this both my ADSL Line and ISP was with @Lantic/Vox telecom)

My question is this: Does it make a difference whether your ADSL line is with Telkom while your ISP is a different company, would it be better to bundle the ADSL line and ISP service with a single company?

I would bundle it with Afrihost, purely for the reason that you can reset your line, troubleshoot your line and a couple more things on the afrihost clientzone, which is something that other ISPs dont offer as far as I know. Also the fact that it is usually cheaper to bundle with an ISP.

I just find the AH Clientzone amazing due to the fact that you can control the line alot more.

I moved my line to WebAfrica several years ago and it has been a huge improvement compared to having Telkom manage the line. I can now change the speed myself from the control panel and even reset the port. Before that I used to dread calling Telkom to ask them to change my line speed. It also costs me less!

If you move your line, the ISP can help you sort out problems. You can also deal with Telkom too if you wish.
That aside there may even be a saving.
