Manchester United manager David Moyes says he finds his club's start to the new season "hard to believe".

Moyes said: "I find it hard to believe that's the way the balls came out of the bag, that's for sure."

The Premier League responded by saying: "We have absolutely assured him the process is random and above board. He has accepted those assurances."

A league spokesman also confirmed that Moyes had put his concerns to them directly.

However earlier on Thursday the Scotsman said: "I think it's the hardest start for 20 years that Manchester United have had.

"I hope it's not because Manchester United won the league quite comfortably last year [that] the fixtures have been made much more difficult."

He joins Man Utd and becomes an ass***e.

Moyes officially took over from Sir Alex Ferguson, who retired after 26 trophy-laden years in charge, on 1 July. The former Everton boss saw his new side win the Charity Shield with a 2-0 victory against Wigan last week. They start their Premier League campaign away at Swansea, before facing Chelsea, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

I didn't add the above section at the end.
I guess he is moaning that they have to play Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City after Swansea on Saturday.

I didn't see the point of this rant.
At the end of the season he would have played all teams.
Even if United fall behind early, the other big teams will have to pay each other and are bound to drop points.

On the other hand a bad start could dent his and the players confidence and the media will be on his back.

It's a tough start, I think SAF had a similar complaint a few seasons ago. Don't think he said the setup is rigged though.

Terrible misleading headline , at no point did he say it was rigged. He said its "hard to believe" , Swansea, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Palace. Any other team that gets those fixtures will feel the same way no doubt.

In 2011/2012 Bolton played: City, Liverpool, United, Arsenal and Chelsea in their first 5 out of 7 league games.

It happens, just deal with it.

Sure im not saying it doesnt happen to other teams, im sure Bolton complained about it too. All the managers complain about the fixtures , Mourinho, Wenger, Ferguson, Rodgers. Moyes isnt the first and only one to do so.

Benitez once suggested that the premier league send the fixture list to SAF for approval (and tweaking to his liking) before they're released to stop him whining. Guess they should afford David the same courtesy, lol.

what a d!ck... Liverpool had a similar fixture list last season, didn't hear anyone complaining then

erm, except for every single Liverpool supporter on this forum, and 75% of Durban residence.

But before everyone freaks out over something as silly as this, remember: Moyes has MASSIVE shoes to fill, put yourself in his position. He replaces a man that was the best for about 20 years. He needs to cover his ass in case they get off to bad start, and the pressure is definitely on him, no doubt about that.

And my prediction? Man U might lose 2-3 of these games, its a new coach, new playing style to what the players got used to over the years. He might complain, but it might just be a blessing in disguise. Guess well only find out end of season.

Wow Rubberpigg and everyone that don't know how to read??? Moyes saying "I find it hard to believe" becomes "Fixtures are rigged".

Pool complained about their fixtures for a Carling Cup match:

Isn't this the unimportant competition? The Carling Cup is usually regarded as a bane by managers, so that fact Kenny Dalglish erupted this week has told a highly significant story.

Rafa made a call to Overhaul the fixtures with Chelsea:

Rafa Benitez has called for an overhaul of the number of fixtures in both club and international football, but feels that the game could do without extreme changes to technology.

There is a difference between complaining about playing too many games over a short period of time, and complaining about the specific games that one has to play after another. Don't accuse people of not knowing how to read, if you have done exactly the same...
