You will find many companies that currently have iPads as the tablet of choice will switch to a Windows Tablet purely for the Office stuff....

I can just see the integration stuff being an absolute godsend in big Corporates that run MS stuff.

It'll be "light" versions, as you just can't do everything that needs to be done to make office work within the iOS framework.

Nope, but like Frikkenator said, it will be the bare minimum type of release.

The version that will run on Windows Tablets will be much more powerful and have much better integration into the Enterprise.

Imagine having direct SharePoint integration on your tablet, it will be an absolute Enterprise killer feature.

And as for MS and Nokia coming to the party late.

Have a look at this 'Technology Adoption Lifecyle' page.

I think MS and Nokia are coming into the market aggressively and at the right time.

I believe tablet and smartphone adoption is right in the middle of the 'early adopters' stage. This is the stage when the products have broken the resistance barrier and the most number of people will be adopting the technology.

This is one of the many reasons why I believe they are going to succeed - immensely.
