MS Outlook flagging tool not working

I am trying to flag and future-date an email for a follow up in MS Outlook, but when I right-click on the email, it does not bring up the flagging options.

Any ideas on how to solve this ?

You can either set the follow-up when you send the email or, alternatively, you can send the email then go to "Sent Items", open the just-sent email & set the follow-up date.

I understand how to do it

What I am trying to explain is that it does not work - when I right-click on the sent email, it does not bring up the flagging options.
