MS Surface Pro 3

So yesterday I saw the MS surface Pro 3 (I5 8Gb Ram 256GB SSD) at the MS shop here in Boston while on vacation.

It looks great and since I am due for a new laptop I am considering it...

I am however very used to OSX and I have no reason to look at the Surface other than the fact that the Apple laptop I want is due for a refresh in a few months.

I am worried that I end up with the thing and I hate it.

Any advice?

@OP: The surface pro 3 is amazing. Personally I would have made the switch in a heartbeat. But if you're having second thoughts just considering it then I'd say don't do it, buyers regret will probably get the better of you.

The I5 is the only one available at Launch on Friday before I fly back and the one with 8 Gb RAM costs USD 1299 without the USD 130 keyboard cover.

Would anyone be willing to buy it from me if I hate it?

As mentioned in my initial post, the only Apple I am interested in is due for a refresh shortly and I don't want to buy it now with the refresh so close.

Why not just wait for the refresh if you already use Apple?
 
I got the pro 2 in feb and loving it. The pro3 looks better ito getting the screen slightly wider. Have passed on my ultrabook to the wife since I got the pro2. If you get it, get the backlit keyboard cover. Think it was called the type cover.

It seems as if there is only one type of cover available at launch, not sure if it is backlit though...

Yes, I'll buy it from you at your cost price in ZAR, along with the Type Cover (black please). It's either both or neither. Must have the Type Cover. Good condition, of course.

Arthur, I have a similar offer from someone else aswell on PM. I will PM you. I will need about a week to decide if i can make the switch from Apple back to windows.... Would you be ok with that?
 
I am in Canada at the moment, also considering a SP3, same model as above.

One problem for me is that the new model uses N-Trig graphics, not Wacom as in the previous models.

At present there are no drivers for N-Trig for Adobe, Zbrush, etc.

It may actually be better for me to buy the SP2, even though they are not discounting this as yet.

Pricing for the I5 with 8 Gb Ram and 256Gb SSD with the keyboard cover will work out at USD 1*518,31 INCLUDING taxes of 6.25% so that is approximately ZAR 16*700.
