Went and spoke to them and must say a very friendly bunch of people who are well clued up on what's happening.
Had a conversation with the Project manager, they said the area will be upgraded to 10mbps tonight.
At the end of August they will upgrade it again to 40Mbps.( just depends on telkom i.e. - if they have a new product offering or a price increase on the existing top end package.)

My line speed is 10015 kbps download from the router stats.:D
just did an international speed test and getting 8.74Mbps download and 0.82 upload.

Oh and ps, if u see them again, could please ask when Fourways will be turned on, specifically lonehill
 
I am less than 50m from the MSAN (in Riverclub).
Just tried an international speed test (on mybroadband) and below are the results (cant seem to attach images in this thread):

Just called the project manager (took his number when I spoke to him and he called me later on to tell me that my line has been upgraded and to test it) he says he is not sure at present. Only some areas in Sandton are within the pilot phase.
When I spoke to him, he mentioned that randburg is the next area they will be upgrading.
 
Where does this apply in Lonehill? I am in Lanzerac and can't get over 4mbps for some reason.

Three in durban ( Dorrington crescent, Burleigh crescent and nandi drive) (MSANs) and four exchanges dont know any other province

Some exchanges are being upgraded to, not just the street MSANs.

Regarding the one in Lonehill, I spoke to one of the techs today and the MSAN will be fully operational on the 13th of August. He could not tell me though if I would be on it.
 
Do u think they will bring a MSAN closer south of lonehill? Around la gratitude or Crawford? Or maybe Beverly area?

Not 100% sure but think I saw a MSAN on Taunton Rd, In Pietermaritzburg

Cabinet was way bigger than my UMC box down the road in Howick Rd

need to get a picture when I go home from work
