MSC Cruise dinner dress code

Thanks all. I have to get me some other form of shoes other than sneakers or flip flops.
 
I was on MSC Fantasia this past December , Rio to Beunos Aires, saw guys wearing shorts, flops and T shirt on formal dinners.

Dress code is only a guide, not compulsory.

Hey bud. Well Im the type of person that like to relax but in the same time I don't like to be confined, so the first two days really got to me but as we went along I kinda got used to it.

The food/dining levels get really cramped up during breakfast so I hated that part, to run up and down looking for tables to sit down and eat. Even on our reserved dining level, long lines and a few days other people are forced to sit on my table.

I don't know hey, I wouldn't do MSC again, but was told Mediterranean cruises are far better. Not sure if im willing to risk it.

Then again, I have very high standards so maybe for you (and others) it will be enjoyable.

Make sure you pay for the full drinks package.

How much was the full drinks package?
But I assume because it was December maybe thats why it was overcrowded?

The Mediterranean cruises also have space issues during breakfast because everyone wants to get off the ship as soon as the doors open, so people take an early breakfast on port days :(

No idea on costings bud, my wife does everything and via our company. She just books and drags me along (with the kids ).

I flew into Sao Paolo for a few days then went to Rio for a few days , then flew to Iguazu for the falls ,then back to Rio to jump on board, then when we returned to Rio I went to Bara for 2 days to enjoy new years eve. The beach was awesome.

I stayed at the L'Hotel Portobay on Paulista Avenue and just did the hop on hop off bus ride from there.

Didn't want to risk staying anywhere else, everywhere else looked like a Hillbrow.
