If i goto trouble shooting it says this.

Also im using Vista (home premium) and have never had this problem before. I formated today and have reinstalled all my normal programs and drivers. MSN hasnt worked since the format. It worked perfectly before the format.

I noticed that I now have an unidentified network in my Network and Sharing Centre.

That unidentified network is my iburst terminal.
It seems like its just MSN which it doesnt let me log into.
i can log into MSN via a web-based MSN client (http://www.msn2go.com)
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D
Thanks, Psy

Go to Computer, right click on it and select properties, click device manager> click on network adapters, right click on your NIC (network card/controller), click disable> wait about a minute and click enable again.

If a dialogue box comes up and asks you to choose a network location, click "home". If it still shows as unidentified network, click on the NIC and uninstall, click action in device manager and click scan for hardware changes, it should install it again, try it then.

Before you uninstall it, make sure you have the driver available on your harddisk ;)

Ciao

OK, well I disabled both the iBurst Terminal which was under and my nVidia nForce networking Controller and then reenabled them and no boxes poped up asking me what network location this is...I then uninstalled the iburst Terminal (and the software drivers) and when i tried to uninstall the nvidia network controller it automatically reinstalled it after 5sec.

I still have the same problem. cant get onto MSN and it still shows my iBurst terminal as unidentified.

Anything else I can try? :D

Nope, will NEVER install Norton!!
its a fresh format. i formatted today!! it was working fine before the format. I reinstalled all my standard drivers and all. I didnt miss anything and the only thing which has changed is I used a newer version of my graphics drivers. I did run Windows updates which has changed...but I doubt it would be something from windows updates which caused me to not be able to log into MSN and give me that unidentified network thingy?

I'm out of ideas bro, maybe someone else knows? ;)

OK, well it seems iv managed to get my problem sorted out!

Someone told me "Clear your IE cache and cookies. Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then
Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's complete click the
Delete Cookies button. Check your IE Security settings. Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then
Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check
for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL
3.0' is checked, then click OK. Click Start, then Run, and enter the following:
regsvr32 softpub.dll
then click OK
and do the same for the following:
regsvr32 wintrust.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll"

now it works. :D w00t w00t

Hmm, I havent got that solved.
I will post and state my problem there as well.
Thanks :P
