MTN’s Iran problem

Trading looks set to become more difficult in Iran for SA-based emerging markets cellular network operator MTN The telecommunications group is about to face a spirited new competitor in the Islamic republic in the form of Etisalat

Judging from the number of countries Etisalat operate in, they are definitely doing something right. Would be great if they come to SA too and provide some real competition.

I worked with Etisalat in UAE for about 10 months, they really know what they are doing.
Being government owned and operating all elements of telecommunications in the UAE, with no competition, they've pulled it off fantastically and I think this is going to be a fantastic benefit to Iran.
If only they'd come to SA!
