Hey guys :D

I have a slight problem here...

I recently Upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate on my desktop. But my Laptop is still running XP. So my problem is that my download speed in Windows 7 is about 250KBPS and in XP it is 45KBPS.

In both cases I am using my Sony Ericsson K850i as a modem and in both XP and 7 it is seen as a LAN modem. So I checked out all the settings on windows 7 and on XP and they seem to be similar... Except that windows 7 has added features like IPv6 etc but that is disabled in any way. And yes, I download exactly the same file from exactly the same place.

So what could the problem be?

Thanx :)

faster usb transfer speeds in 7 maybe

No can't be that, I can transfer files in XP at well above 400KBps...

I personally think it has to do with the internet settings... Don't know exactly what though.

Thanx for you opinion though, it is appreciated :)

Which is it?

Assuming your XP is faster than your Windows 7, I have seen this complaint before, but never been able to duplicate it.
Huawei have a 'Windows 7 USB Modem Hotfix' which is available from Vodacom's download page. Nobody seems to know what it does though, perhaps you could try it and report back?
