I saw MTN ads on a packet of a loaf of bread!:)
When did this happen??:p

Only saw it over the weekend, I normally let mom decide on bread and groceries, but I went yesterday to buy some, I bought it coz of the advertising!:p

Its a first for SA right? Advertising on bread, Tigerbrands Bread, Peter Matlare leaves Vodacom, joins Tigerbrands and now MTN is advertising on bread...:p

There might not be any links between them, just mine.

Does the bread cost the same? Would be cool if MTN subsidized the price of the bread with their advertising. I guess it's more likely the money just goes into bread companies profits though...

joelus - that is an awesom idea. Imagine if big corporates that target low income consumers spent a little fraction of their marketing budgets subsidising food and housing.

It makes me think of Mozambique, where so many houses and market stalls (in the best condition) are brightly painted to advertise cellphone companies. Obviously these companies must be paying for it. What a great community initiative.

I first saw this about 6 weeks ago. Can someone post the wording or a pic please?

I recall finding it a bit misleading, I thought there was going to be a R5 airtime voucher inside, or something like that.
