MTN seems to be down since 7am, at least in my neck of the woods (Constantia, S Subs, CT) ..my router refuses to connect:
"MTN
Connection failed. Please retry later. If the problem persists, please contact your service provider."

No loadshedding in my area currently.

Afrihost website network status showing Fixed Wireless all ok as usual.

Anyone else having problems connecting?

30 mins later and it's up.

Hopefully was just a brief outage or scheduled maintenance.
Reliability has been good to date...but in this country things can change in a moment.

I am noticing my connection to tower has gone down quite often ( if only for brief periods over the last 30 days since I signed up)

Router says fully connected, 5 bars as usual, signal stats excellent, but nothing works.
Afrihost site says all green for wireless networks...

I think they either configuring tower, upgrading or worse....

So far I've been down 30 minutes again... at least once or twice a week.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I haven't had any downtime over the few weeks that I have been using the service. Speeds have also been quite good. At the moment I am quite satisfied with the overall performance.

My speeds are v fast. 80-90 Mpbs and uploads over 20.

My issue is the intermittent downtime without any prior notification or notice on AH status , leaving me wondering whats going on.

Still down.nearly 1.5 hrs now.

Using my Rain sim in my phone as my usual backup.

On the stroke of midnight I get internet again....

And went down after 30 minutes at 00.30 and been down ever since....

We're not seeing a general outage today, so we'll need to troubleshoot. Drop me a PM and I'll take a look.

Already logged a call early this am and contacted MTN via Twitter....
Additionally just finished speaking with one of your agents who advised that a number of clients are experiencing the same issue at different sites countrywide so it is more widespread - router and signal shows connected but no service/internet.

Very frustrating when your network status page shows "Everything is looking good!"
It's clearly not!

I haven't seen anything posted by our NOC, but will definitely look further into this. Our network page should definitely reflect any general issues :(

Do keep me updated, it is 31st after all, and Rain @ R50/GB is not cheap ...

Our NOC confirm that there was a Radius issue which affected a handful of clients that was quickly resolved. Given the time and number of clients involved, I am guessing they decided against posting on the network status page.

Has now been attended to by Afriman and I'm back online

Let's hope it was a once off glitch.

Axxess MTN Fixed LTE is down due to a single tower since Friday in Amanzimtoti
