Anyone else has this?

MTN SP is now billing for all data used in Sept/Oct which they could not give us balances on due to their 2 month system issues. Now in December they back dating this?

Is this fair?

You mean you want it for free?

Of course it's fair.

Listen Dumbo. Maybe you will understand it this way.
You rent a car at R1.00 per km and you drive 100 km. That is R100, not so.
When you take the car back, they say "The odometer is faulty" so we tracked you with NetSat and you drove 150 km. So you must pay R150.
Will you pay? Stoopid if you do.

When you purchase a service, it must be in good working order. If not, you are not liable for payment by common law.

Read this 10 times. Maybe then you will understand.

exactly, we were in the dark for over a month with so many excuses from MTN and we still pay R2 /mb......

goto telkom....mobile .....Downloaded itunes other day (90mb) @ peak, 6.5 MB/s and averaged 4.5 MB/s !!! anmd cheaper than the VC and MTN!!!

Even windows updates of 100MB performed similar....:D

Heh, i think a closer analogy is , you rent a car and they say you only pay R1.00 p/km for the first 100km. If you do more than 100km they charge you R10 p/km thereafter.

Then they tell you "sorry the odometer you were looking at never worked, you drove 150km , not 100km as you thought, that will R100 + R500 for the overuse , thanks and here's some vaseline".

So yea, in short : It is unfair. MTN give us a broken meter, and penalize us if we use more than a specific amount. They don't bother to tell you when you are going over the specific amount either AND they then give you inaccurate/non-existent information as of your current usage. How the F&^ are people suppose to use their service without getting overcharged?

That's right : DO NOT USE MTN.

Vaseline? Good one. Up theirs.

Same with me being over billed.
I am not denying using the data just not happy paying out of bundle rates, so what am i to do?
According to MTN wait 21 days so iam to pay the due balance or m phone gets disconnected & then hope the **** gets sorted what BS!!

It think this is totally ridiculous. I mean you don't receive a bill in the post from your local Spur, saying that they forgot to charge your for this that and the other because of a billing fault.

It was there fault, so deal with it. I wonder if they gonna do this with Pay and Go customers too?

This is why I will be switching my network as soon as my contract with MTN ends.
