My MTN BIS has improved drastically in the last while. Hopefully this trend continues by curtailing those huge-downloading-abusers.
As for OP, yes downloading is restricted, where before I could download MP3 songs from various sites, I cannot anymore. The service should improve going forward with the new FUP on the Blackberry Absolute package limiting users to 200mb.

Seriously the OP posting this should pay ATTENTION networks don't want people who abuse BIS(BlackBerry Internet Service) they've throttled the service severally over the months - year. Yes, back in the day you could download files exceeding X meg - gigs but they've canned it so people like you don't abuse BIS experience. If you not happy load some airtime and use the pay APN

8ta's 60GB+60GB for R1800

For the equivalent price of BIS you're getting 2GB+2GB.

I always made sure that I have at least R60 on my sim and chose option 1 for BIS. Now it shows option 2 for BIS/BES and I have R80 on it but it says "Insufficient Funds". What's going on?

A little birdie told me that 8ta doesn't cap BlackBerry subscribers, not sure how true it is, haven't personally given it a bash.

I tried the new BlackBerry Social plan that gives you 10MB of usage. Lasted me 2 whole days! For some reason I thought that BBM and the apps from the App World would be excluded from that 10MB, nope I was wrong.
