Also in this boat. Monitoring my spending but considering cancelling the contract.
Whatsapp calls are fine until you have to phone a company, grandma, boss, your doctor etc.
Follow the MTN zone advice at the bottom of this post: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/thr...eskom-with-66-rate-hike.1005510/post-22890950
I get discounts on my calls now so they nearly the old prices.
A registered business. This is ot but I don't feel like making a thread for it. What do you need to be able to get a business contract deal? I see you get much better data allocation with them.
Yip I moved all to business and best part is its 12m contracts, not 24m.This is ot but I don't feel like making a thread for it. What do you need to be able to get a business contract deal? I see you get much better data allocation with them.
I took out a normal contract. Can I upgrade to the business one or do I have to wait for the contract to expireYip I moved all to business and best part is its 12m contracts, not 24m.
Business reg doc, members IDs, proof of res (for both), 3/6 month bank statements. Not sure what else.
Vodacom has a 60GB + 30GB deal going for R299I LOVED my MTN contract that I took out in January 2017. I got over 50 GB of data every month for around R 200 per month. I have been working in Kenya the last year. I arrived back in SA today, and I see they have dropped me to a 4 GB per month package while I was out the country - this obviously happened in January when my 2 years ended. Sad, I thought they would let me continue month to month on 50GB per month. I am only in SA for the next 2 weeks. Are there any similar large data deals happening now ? I'm not interested in voice or SMS, but I want lots of data.

Read back a couple of weeks, when some took data contracts on the 50gb contractsCan't top up airtime for voice calls? Seems odd
That's what I do, converted my main number to prepaid, Datashare to that for data and then I buy signiture bundles for 56c/pm call rates. If you have another phone lying around, it might be possible to share the data to your prepaid phone.
Yeah not yet my side eitherYay just got my bill for next month no increases........
