MTN Black Friday Discussions

No nothing special, it's actually called made for home 75gb and R299pm is the price with no device and because it's a "home" brand contract probably has datashare disabled. Knts

How do you check if a contract supports datashare, as per usual their contract deal pages have pretty much zero T&C's?

also just check it might be home lte so its locked to your home unit

cause thats the current deal they have iirc

so how does the business package work

do you have to have a registered business

and also what is a business, can someone with a shop or takeaway get this ?

not to sure of the nitty gritty. But mine is a fairly simple sole prop and I managed to get a business package for BF 2019.
Docs required were: ID, Business Letterhead, 3 months bank statement, proof of Vat registration.

Will they still let you in if you aren't vat registered, why would that be a requirement?

2 of my buddies took the 1TB business package. 500GB is shareable.

How much is it a month?

not quite sure if they would let you in without a Vat No.But they did ask for the relevant doc.
The advantages of registering far outweigh not being registered. I also was hesitant in doing so. And it is still possible to not pay maximum vat. Just ask any Indian what is ooplang.

Anybody manage to get through to retention? Was holding the line for 25mins until I had gotten another phone call so had to cut the call

Hope they have deals early so I don't have to cancel and then possible get a contract two weeks later.
Will try give retentions a call tomorrow, do you just dial 135 ?

If you don't mind a 24 month contract, Telkom has 40gb day plus 40gb night for R199 per month.
Thanks. This currently looks good and as PPogba noted, it seems like it can be taken on a month to month basis

Also expiring end of November, so if MTN doesn't come to the party either through retentions or BlackFriday/CyberMonday, I am switching over. Would rather use the additional R100 for some minutes.

I still remember this comment and am hoping there will be a repeat:

40+40gb and 600min @ R199

Now thats a deal.

Will the data on the Telkom deal roll over?

My November bill is showing around R600 and my contract only ends 27 November.
Normal price was around R150

I just got off the line with retentions and they said the deal will only be announced the last week of November.
My contract ends the 14 of November but my invoice date is the 11th so apperantly I will still get my current deal for another month and hopefully they have a 1TB deal for R600 or less for black friday :)
