MTN Black Friday Discussions

Just a question on these data contracts - do they support unused data roll over to the next month? If so, is it a max of 2 or 3 months?

I think my current MyChoice 30GB promo (BF18 - 60gb+60gb @R299) contract rolls over to 2 months max.

So on these 500gb contracts - if unused, will it roll over to 1TB in month 2?

Guys I've been struggling to wrap my head around these deals. It's there anywhere I can get a list of the codes and packages for a consumer retention contract?

There's no list, you just need to go through the last few pages of posts..

Kwaaaaaaa.....
not even MTN is kind enough to do this

I've actually tried data sharing before but it didn't allow me. Does anyone know why this could be? It's do another MTN prepaid number.

Is it a business number? I can't seem to share to my Companies SIm, I also have Datashare activated on that number already and that may be the reason

Been wondering if this was a possibilty...

This confirms it is worth replacing that B315 for something better... Maybe the router that they force you to take with the Fixed LTE, some or other CAT 19 spec Huawei or ZTE.

My B315 maxes out at around 30-35Mbps which is sufficient for me that I can’t justify buying a new router.

I only get around 20Mbps and that was after fiddling with the antennas and moving it around the house for the best signal and noise ratio. I figured that since I'm stuck with the service for 3 years it may be worth to get another Huawei Router and move the battery bank to the new Router.

Either that or buy a Poynting Antenna

I haven’t tried moving it around but I do have the two little antennas at around 45 degrees.

I have the B525 and B315. I found that the B525 is far better. I think I got close to 80mbps on the B525 where I was only getting 25 on the B315. The B525 picks up 4G+ signal.

I also found that my modems work better without the bunny ears. I have 4 of the extra length antenna sitting in a box somewhere

Regarding the billing issue, my outstanding amount has dropped from R1709 to R898, which still seems incorrect.

Yeah my outstanding amount went from R4970 to R1320 on Tuesday instead of to R780 wich is what I would normally pay.

The R780 includes a contract I use for my phone.

My previous contract was R299 (supposed to expire 23/11) and current contract is R499 (from 19/11) so not sure how the R898 was calculated.

I’ve done a few pro-data calculations but my 30% maths isn’t helping.

Well the R469 black friday contact I was on is supposed to be 50+50 for R999 without the promotional price and that would more or less take the R780 I usually pay to about R1320( these figures aren't the exact figures)

Is the 500 + 500 GB fixed LTE?

Also, is there a difference in the speed and performance between fixed LTE and normal LTE sim cards?

My bill issue has been rectified.
But nothing in terms of available deals is what I'm looking for or need. Really hope to find a decent data, minutes and sms bundle like I have now.
