MTN Black Friday Discussions

That's what I was also thinking but my old 60gb data is shown as recurring.

But you can see on the screen shots below the 100gb day and night is clearly labelled as the promo portion so even if the 400gb is not currently setup correctly it will eventually be the base data we can datashare from.
I see what you mean... really hoping it's all a misunderstanding and that we can datashare the 400gb

Shoot. I didn’t read the 600min deal. Changed mine to 50GB 50min R199. Would’ve asked if I had known. Oh well. 50min it is.

FYI Our MTN business consultant got back to us today and let us know we can upgrade our business numbers to the consumer packages listed here over the last few days, we're in the process of getting it done, will let you know if it was successful.
I also managed to get the 149x36, 15gb, 550 minutes deal on my corporate (staff) contract upgrade after I have the site consultant the code..

Anybody succeeded today in getting any other deals other than specified on this post. I am currently on hold for retentions, that damn music is driving me crazy.

Yes you can as long as you do it before the next invoice date I think.

Is it possible for someone like myself not on a deal to get one of these deals? How do I do it?
I believe as long as you are on a contract then you can, does not have to be a previous black friday deal

Took a online deal of 50gb anytime data + Router for R199, just as a back up.

Then I saw a deal of R299, 150gb + 150gb I think it's x 36 months.

Trying to change this deal, called the call center they claim it's been finalised and with the courier nothing can be done, I have not received the device, neither does the app show the current deal as loaded on the SIM.

It's the same router for both deals, so taking the router is not a problem, it's simply changing the deal loaded on the SIM.

Anyone have any luck with changing deals here? Or know what can be done perhaps?

I applied for the 100gb + MIFI router for R299 x 24m online as an additional line, got a reference and that was that.
Not sure who to follow up on this as the email says the following but not to who I must send it...
Called MTN yesterday and got sent from pillar to post and nobody could tell me what's going on...

Got some feedback from my consultant regarding the change of my package:

"managers have stopped approving the addition of extra minutes to packages"

I will try a different consultant to be certain.
Managed to call and speak to a different consultant this morning, he said that there is no deal (R199 600mins + 50gigs) that exists, they have being receiving many calls regarding this deal. He explained, that those who may have gotten that deal was due to them qualifying specifically for it and was not available to me (2016 BF customer).

However, he mentioned that the marketing dept is looking at offering the deal above, and will contact me should any correspondence comes through.

Will update here if successful...till then, I guess we have to be content with our current deals.
