Still R149?Same contract, just no more promotion voice and data (10000mins and 50Gb data fell away)
Not worth it and right now telkom is looking like the best optionSo I popped into the MTN store where I took out the 2 Cyber Monday R149pm deals. I was offered 10GB for R149pm on my 1 sim and 20GB for R249pm on the other. There were other more expensive offers which had minutes etc which I'm not interested in. The guy confirmed that all of the deals with minutes which he offered me are the same as the top of the yellow and white table in this thread.
I told him the deals suck. He said they match my average usage over the last 2 years. I said that may be so, but nobody sane would sign a 2 year contract for those data allowances at those monthly rates as they are far from being bargains. Only reason I took the contracts out in 2016 was because they were mindblowing. Told him Telkom does better Deal of the Month's without even trying and I can roam on his MTN network for cheaper (of course Vodacom from next year). He just looked at me. I told him I'll rather spin the wheel and see what MTN does on Black Friday and then either cancel the contracts or grab a deal on the day. I also made the chap log a complaint because I never received my 50GB on thr 6th of this month. He tried to get rid of me by saying he would need the 2016 contract (wtf for, who knows), and I shocked him when I immediately emailed it to him from my Dropbox.
This fellow also said the personalised deals are valid until this Black Friday, the 23rd.
I aint going to sign up for 24 months unless the deal is mindblowing and future proof for 2yrs, like 50GB at R149 most certainly was in 2016. Alot can change. New spectrum will be handed out next year and this should push prices down.
Spinning the wheel, roll on thr 23rd....

Exactly what I wanted. I wanted 20GB for R149 on 1 sim and 60GB for R299 on the other. " You may only choose from the 3 personalised deals which the system is offering you" was his response. The voice and data packages on the system matched the table in this thread. The data only deals did not, they were inferiorWhy did you not opt for the data deals on that same page in this thread
60GB day data for 299 is good.
There are some good deals in the deals table. Problem is, you'll probably not be offered them as part of your "personalised 3 deals" as I discovered this morningDon't understand all the moaning about the deals? 100GB + 50GB night data for R469 is a fantastic deal if you ask me? Unless I'm missing something? My problem is I got the promo in 2017 in January, wonder if I'm eligible.

But didn't you go for a new contract before these deals were released?Lol that is why is just went with a new contract less hassle and crap offers, so will see what is on offer, looking for a new tablet if the samsung tab A comes in at R169.00 or there about sign me up....

Oh, didn't know that I thought they were all available? I only used the data really on mine and barely used the voice minutes so I'm hopeful I get the 100GB offer. Used all 50 GB every month. There are some good deals in the deals table. Problem is, you'll probably not be offered them as part of your "personalised 3 deals" as I discovered this morning
Didn't get an email and lady in store says they can't access offers in store..mall of Africa store...will try another tomorrow in WoodmeadI didn't get an email but popped into MTN store and I was offered 100gb for R469
They just need your mobile number and system then generates a deal for you based on usage its actually few deals which they try to align to your usage. Basically it has some data only deals and some with data and voice. I was offered a 100gb data only deal and another one with 53gb and 300 mins for 549Didn't get an email and lady in store says they can't access offers in store..mall of Africa store...will try another tomorrow in Woodmead
that is a great deal if it's your primary internet but many of us have ADSL or Fibre as we need uncapped to watch Netflix, series and movies or YouTube, gaming etc. So the R150 was nice as when we are mobile, telkom went down, lines were stolen, we were at work, in meetings, queuing somewhere, weekends away, or driving in the car we can consume or take with us anywhere our secondary mobile internet connection. To pay R469 for a backup/secondary internet connection every month on a 24 month contract is hard to justify. There were months on 50GB special that I only used 1GB but it didn't bother me since I was only paying R150 per month. Paying R469 for 1Gb I can't justify which indirectly I would be paying some months since data doesn't rolloverDon't understand all the moaning about the deals? 100GB + 50GB night data for R469 is a fantastic deal if you ask me? Is that 100GB anytime data and does it include 50GB night express?I didn't get an email but popped into MTN store and I was offered 100gb for R469
Extra according to the deal sheetIs that 100GB anytime data and does it include 50GB night express?
Mine expires at a similar time and wondering what will happen today with the new bundles.Does the 50GB renew tonight. Does anyone know?
My contract ends on the 4th of December so will I get my full 50GB or more like 38GB for 23 days?
