anyone ever have issues on a multisim number

so my one contract is the 500gb and has quite a few sims attached to it

im getting DL speeds of +-1mb and i used my other contract which only has 1 sim. exact same spot same time i got 100mb DL speeds

mtn says the did a HLR reset

nothing happened

You mean datashare?
I haven’t ever noticed speed issues on the datashare sims.
 
This is still ongoing, the agent that's supposed to be helping me is a total pos.

But I can see what the problem is, Retentions is an outside business run by a company called Ignition.

Hi Adele, is that really going to happen seeing I have sent numerous emails to the email address over the last 7 months and still my contract allocation is not correct and now my monthly amount has been bumped up for no reason??
 
Anyone that took the R349 My Choice 400GB + Anytime 200GB Promo data with Deal ID 2022164 CT 00011 CVM SAVES BF can you confirm what data allocation you are getting please?

If you are unsure on the deal ID you can check the contract pdf they would have emailed you, the deal ID is on there under the "Application Details" heading and next to the contract duration.

I'm also on the R349 deal for 600+600gb, and my contract lists deal 2022164 CT 00165 CVM SAVES BF, perhaps the 00011 means you were customer 11 and I was 165 on this deal? I'm definitely not getting 600+600gb anytime+night, it looks like i'm getting 500gb+500gb but it's hard to tell. There seems to be to two promotional anytime packages but only one of them has data on it (100gb) while the other one seems it might be empty. Irritating as they had a R299 deal for 500+500gb but I chose the more expensive R349 deal but it seems not getting the extra data.

Did you find out anything?

I tried filing a complaint with them but got a useless response simply stating 'that the data allocation was in line with the contract' with no further detail.

The deal ID is not unique per user as far as I know because you could tell the retentions agent the deal ID and they would find it on the system. I was also on the 400GB + 100Gb(Promo data) deal before and what happened is the idiots in the retentions department didn't do the upgrades correctly and so instead of getting 400GB + 200Gb(Promo data) we are still getting the 500GB + 100GB(Promo Data), MTN's system thinks we are still on the old package.

All these scary stories. Will stay far far away from MTN black friday deals in the future.
 
I'm really sad my almost 1000gb a month package is coming to an end... Got an SMS warnibg that I am due for an upgrade and that my price will be increasing once it lapses.

Anyone heard of any good deals again? Can't believe it's been 3 years
 
Have to wait for October/November to see what they offer.
And it'll be risky season for many of us. Got to get that upgrade sorted before the first debit order without black Friday discount happens...
 
I got the 50gb BF deal last year. All good, except for a small price increase.
Same here. I expect them to increase the price again. Contracts mean fsckall to these okes.

I wonder if we can put in an instruction to switch to prepaid at the end of the contract in November to be safe and then if they have a decent deal for BF, opt to sign up for it instead?

I thought about this, but my concern is that the BF deals are upgrade deals as far as I can recall, so then being on prepaid would exclude us?

We have 2 BF sims. The one I use will go from R199 to R1000 if I don't manage to time the upgrade correctly.

Good luck, I've seen many people mention having nightmares trying to cancel or convert MTN contracts and call centre agents willfully lying about the contract termination process. Probably best to go into a MTN direct walk in centre to do it.

I'm currently on the 36 month BF, 70gb data and unlimited calls for R499. I'm not sure what to do now, should I wait until next BF or try upgrading from now
