Looks like there will only be BF deals on actual Black friday this year, the MTN site has a countdown.

With the removal of 15 x Datashare positions and the impending 50gb limit, I don't think I'll be renewing. Unless there is a really great deal which I'm doubtful of, how do I get my contract to be a prepaid on the 11th pending a worthwhile deal?

Not really. Countdown now at 17 days, Black Friday is only on 24 November which is more than 17 days away.
