MTN Black Friday Discussions

2 more deals (not sure if business only or personal as well) - 36 months

It's the present, and you still won't get this on private.
Also remember that if you do take this on business, you will have to get those prepaid sims linked up to share data
FYI - You can't datashare to Prepaid sims any longer. They stopped it a month or 2 ago.

I went with:
50GB+750MB pm
125 all-net minutes pm
24 months
R279pm

I took the same deal. Was similar to my previous one, and slightly cheaper. For me, the 50gb is enough. I also need some minutes bundled, i do make quite a few calls to land lines.

Yup and this package does allow recharging so can top-up voice minutes or airtime if really needed.

Isn't there a 100GB sharing limit per sim card?
Not sure.
Im sharing 100.9gb to 2 x numbers, 50.9gb and 30.9gb to 2 ither numbers.
Still have 390gb's avail to share.

The below packages seem to be the main SIM Only deals from Retentions this year for individuals ie non-business contacts.

Didn't ask about Sky, but at least some of those are listed in the brochure.

They're all called the Yellow Essential Plan, and don't each have individual names, just differentiate them by their price, minutes and data allocation.

10GB + 75min @ R129
20GB + 75 min @ R149
15GB + 525 min @ R219
50GB + 125 min @ R279

All 24 months.

Wasn't told when these offers are available until.

When do these deals expire? I want to port my wife's number over to MTN from Vodacom for one of these.

Unlike in all the years gone by, a Retention agent is now insisting that MTN has a new business rule disallowing renewals/upgrades without signing a bank debit order authorisation, ie no option to just pay by card/"cash" anymore.

But, they said that one may cancel the debit order and revert to paying by card/"cash" after 3 months of debit orders (??)

Does anyone here not use a debit order to pay MTN, and have successfully renewed/upgraded recently? If so, when was that?

Confirmed by my MTN Business contact: R299pm x12 months 100GB all shareable.

I'm pulling the trigger on this deal for 2 of our lines and I'll deal with matters this time next year again.
Do you mind sharing your MTN business contact? I have one line that is currently due for upgrade.
