The whole problem is providers were pushing and promoting Blackberry handsets WAY too much. Now there are more blackberries live than the BIS network can handle. The network is just too saturated. Now nothing works properly. Now if you're looking for a business phone number, you can literally type in your handset browser
www.google.com, put the phone down, grab the yellow pages, look up the number, make the call, end the call and when you return to your blackberry, google hasn't even loaded yet. Out of pure desperation to make browsing and texting less of a headache, they are doing what oreoK said they are doing.
i recently spoke the the blackberry customer technicians and they have confirmed that mtn blackberry users WILL NOT BE ABLE download any files anymore using their cellphones. i have taken a look at their recently updated terms and conditions and it they made a statement regarding this. i dont know about you guys but i intend on fighting this rubbish as my contract with them is not subject to such nonsense.
I heard this too. I would rather be able to at least browse than nothing working at all like it is now. Anyway, RIM will be dead in South Africa when the rest of the masses learn about this decision.
