Hi, I was trying to work out at which point the various SMS and data bundles become cost-effective, below is what I came up with. Based on prices on www.mtn.co.za as at 2006/07/08.

SMS Bundles:

34 to 67 ..... SMS 50
67 to 135 .... SMS 100
135 to 414 ... SMS 200
414 to 1831 .. SMS 500
>1831 ........ SMS 2000

Data Bundles:
MB xferred ... Bundle
------------------------
<5 ........... No Bundle
5 to 55 ...... 10MB
55 to 180 .... 100MB
180 to 546 ... 350MB
>546 ......... 1GB

MB xferred ... Bundle

<42.5 ........ No Bundle
42.5 to 92.5 . 10MB
92.5 to 230 .. 100MB

lol, now if you can give us a formula to calculate upfront what we will be using for the next month, so we can select the appropriate bundle, it will be great

I think it is actually helpfull. Look at your average usage for the past 3 months and then decide what option would be the best. Thanks.

Wish however that MTN would follow VM lead i.t.o charging flat rate per MB
