MTN has just dropped prepaid call rates by a significant margin. We are currently reviewing all tariff plans. Vodacom have just increased their call rates (“everybody else does” does not hold true???)

If MTN adjusts any tariffs (up or down) customers will be notified – until then the situation is status quo.

Mtn loves ridding the waves!

Mtn always seem to take very long with new specials and tarrif changes.
Why coz they love ridding the wave of money. They forcing everyone to pay those tarrifs for as long as they can avoid making changes!!!!

In terms of tariff’s and changes the process does take time as the changes and tariff’s need to be approved by the various BU'S as well as the financial modelers need to approve and then a ICASA lodgment needs to take place as well, but I can assure you it's not a case of avoiding making changes at all there are allot of changes happening - Keep posted and you'll see.

I agree with MTNDD. It not just a simple matter of adjusting the prices as you please. It has to go through many BU's as well as ICASA. Imagine the chaos if Vodacom dropped their prices by 300% tomorrow, without anyone knowing.

Mtn has an offer on prepaid at the moment - where you get 30% more than your first purchase until 22 August (or is it 24Aug? )
