MTN causes uncapped confusion

Well Im sitting with a uncapped Lite product. What will happen I really enjoy all the stuff I can download, but WTF is going on? You are going to lose me when my phone contract comes up for renewal is all I can say!

The whole industry seems to be aimed at keeping customers in the dark - "you will enjoy cheaper tariffs after 9 and before 5 if it is to another MTN number providing that you pay R5 per month extra and switch the lights off while you are talking", "unlimited up to 3 gig" etc. All I can say is carry on - you are leveling the playing field faster than you may think. :erm:

My son's had the Uncapped Lite for about 8 months now and is very happy with it. He hasn't received any notification that it has ended, and it is still on MTN's website. A rumour?

I honestly don't understand how MTN has any customers. They have the worst website in South Africa out of all the network providers, their data and voice tariffs are the highest in South Africa, their service is absolutely pathetic and their logo and brand are yellow, cheap and nasty.

Me too.. hopefully we're grandfathered in for as long as we want. The MTN Uncapped Lite is a really good product. Would be a shame to lose it. If they kick me off I'll also be jumping to another network.

Noooooooooooooooooo!!!!
:( :(
Hopefully there will be other options available in my area once my contract is finished.

lol, 5 gigs won't even last a few days even at the throttled speeds...
Even at the worst case throttled speed of 256Kbit/s you should be able to do: ((256 / 8) * 60 * 60 * 24 * 30) = +/- 80GB a month

EDIT: I left a comment on that facebook page, but it seems to be missing now.

Now I regret only signing a one year and not a 2 year contract.
