I can't get through to MTN customer care today, I know they used to charge for SMS delivery reports but can anyone tell me if they still do?

To my knowledge they used to, not sure if it was only on prepaid or something but there was a stink about it a few years ago..

I think they do, and that was in 2000 when I was with MTN.

So that means you buy a 100 sms bundle and you actually only get 50???
Incidentally is this contract, prepaid or both?
Thanks

Should be a paid service for contract subscribers as well.

This is why MTN phones are set not to ask for a delivery report when sending a SMS. Some phones (my old Motorola V360 included) have this option totally disabled.
