I don't know if this has been asked before, if so please point me in the right direction. Does anyone know if it is possible to move from a Pro Call package to the My Call package, if possible what is the procedure ? I ask this question as my cellphone belongs to my company and I would like to take it with me, as I will no longer be employed by the company:confused:

You will pay a downgrade fee of about R300-R400 and you will have to pay a handset clawback fee or something like that. Depending on how much your handset was subsidised for.

If the handset was R4000 and you got it for free you will have to pay in the difference.

Good luck on this one.

Thanks for the input, I have spoken to my SP NashuaMobile, it is possible to downgrade, they call it a migration cost which is a whole lot of BS. I think they work out how much revenue they are going to loose based on the monthly subscription.

They will move me over to the My Call 100 package, but I don't know if it is registered as a new contract or new package, just a continuation of contract period, i.e. 12 months to still go on Pro Call package, any ideas here ?

SP's normally charge a migration charge if you go down as well as a claw back charge and that's dependent of the subsidy for the phone

MTNDD, are you saying I should find out from my SP about any claw back charges, etc. As they only gave me a 'migration fee' ?

Well it depends if your going from like Mycall 100 to Mychoice top up for example then there's on a migration charge and no clawback I'm speaking under correction

When you migrate up they should only charge you a migration charge

Hope that helps

Is there anyone from NashuaMobile on the forum that can answer the following questions, as I am getting no joy emailing their premierservice email address, they send wrong info through or they don't reply ?

We would like to know if it is possible to migrate my number/account from the current Pro Call 120 to the My Call 100 package?
Is there a migration cost or any other costs that we should be aware of by doing so?
Will all my services be lost, such as International roaming, data and fax number, etc ?
When Mobile Number Portability comes into play, will we be able to do so ?
How would it impact on the current contract period, I think since we extended the contract there is still another 12months left on this contract, if moving to the new(My Call) package, does the contract period remain the same, or is it seen as a new contract, i.e. additional 24months or is it basically seen as a package migration ?

Hi xssnet.

I'm not from Nahua but can tell you this from an SP view.

1. You could expect a migration fee for down grading and for the Handset.
2. Your addisional services should remain intact as is.
3. Your start and end date should stay as is, they can't extend it by another 24 months
4. Even with MNP your still in a Bound contract :(

If you are on My Choice 75 and want to change it to My Call 100, is there a Fee and how much. Service Provider is MTN SP.

I have a friend who took a 6230i on My Choice 75 in the begining of the year and he's not happy as he only get R75 worth of airtime as apposed to 100 minutes on My Call 100 (85+15mins). I think he pays about R75 + other charges. I think it was from MobileSolutions store but its on MTN SP.

Hi mh348

As per PM here with your answer

From My Choice 75 -> My Call 100 No Handset Clawback fee, also no migration charge.
Also he needs to make sure as he'll be paying he's subscription in advance.

Total charge for upward migration = R 0.00

Pls just note this is as a global as per our discussed once I have the number I can confirm that for you.

Pls also note that if he should change back from the My call 100 -> My Choice 75, He will be charged R 399.00 as a migration fee.
