MTN customer care

I got a ridiculous bill last month from them. I hardly use my mtn phone.
And I got R2,700 bill. No ways. I need to go there myself.
 
I have now resorted to sending them a letter via e mail. Come the 15th and I reverse the transaction and they can take me to court.
Is your bill for voice or data?
 
I spoke to Someone from their call center yesterday who was clueless! I've decided that i will go there this afternoon...

you could always cancel the debit order & pay them via eft or going to the bank on a monthly basis. - that's what did a few years ago already
have you seen your statement?
*if i remember correctly* - there was a thread here I think there were people who were doubled debited. if amount = R500 on the bill then the debit was R1000.
So yes they have been having problem in April

They are telling me that I have spoken double the amount in the last 3 months out of a total of 15 months.
I cannot for the life of me see how this is possible.
I dont trust these guys one bit.
How do you argue with a computer system?
 
look at your itemised billing. About 2 years ago I had duplicates they had to reverse. same number same duration, same start time. That means their system is showing the problem.
 
hmm ok so it not out the contract period yet....

I realised recently that my montly costs were more & when I asked they said it's becoz I am not in a fixed contract anymore but are now on a monthly contract. :mad: should have been less as the phone by then is mmy property.
 
Is that the actual amount taken off your bank account?

I had a problem with double billing, but they took off the correct amount of my bank account.
