Hi Guys

Every month on payday I usually buy me 2gb Data on Mtn from FNB Internet Banking.

Then I received some free data extra with it which leave the balance on 4Gb data.

Midway through the month there is 500mb expiring 2 times in the 2nd week and again in the 3rd week and then all of a sudden I don't have any data left. so I read up a bit and see on the forum about the data share option that needs to be set off.?

is this just happening when ever you receive any free data.?

Thanks Guys

YES I get this to! My data expires like within a month after a recharge without it being used up.

Mine expires so quick that I cant even use it!! This is probably why they pushing for people to share data.

PS IS ANYBODIES DATA WORKING NOW?? I have AT and Data and its not working.

Telkom Sim. R69 = 500MB.
Reception is crappy in some areas but yeah...

I normally buy for the wife 1 gig, with the free 1 gig last her about 2 months

I don't understand why you guys are saying it is expiring so fast when MTN has the longest data bundle validity of all the networks including Telkom......

60days from date of purchase with the free data expiring 30days after purchase for the 1GB bundles and above....

I suggest checking *141*1# and get the exact date the bundle expires. If it expired sooner then you need to log a fault.

Assuming there is a problem with MTN accounting system(RADIUS).

I haven noticed on MTN weekly bundles if I load data on base Friday, Thursday morning 6 am the data gets forfeited/ expires which isn't valid for 7 days only for 6 days. . Then on Friday receive an SMS notifying me that data has expired. There is a bug in their accounting system. Data is suppose to expire at midnight.

Two months expiry. The free gig expires in one month and the original gig in 2 months time. Did it last week.

Voice Calls Telkom Mobile.

I hardly use voice calls but how does telkom work with its roaming when it has no coverage?

I wanted to switch a while back now but my only concern is the coverage and roaming costs, thats why i want to switch to mtn

You can roam on MTN with a Telkom sim for free but prices wise you might not be getting the best deal UNLESS you get one of these sims from telkom http://www.telkommobile.co.za/internet-starter-pack/

If not then I suggest going to MTN as their data prices are not bad at all compared to Vodacom with similar coverage for 3G and LTE.

Mtn changed the 1gb bundles from 60 days yo 30 days. Confirmed before call centre went on strike.
